Groom Grrrooommm!!!

Few hours ago, I went to this saloon "BIBA Academy" to fix my hair... The reason I pick on this place is because they are the cheapest saloon I can find in the city... $15 for cut and wash is really a great deal... When I made my appointment 2 days ago I thought it is just an ordinary saloon...

Until this morning, after I sat on the comfy chair, only I realise this is something else...This man in his 60s introducing himself and ask me how do I want my hair cut... I said "Ermm, just make it short"... He turned back and started talking to this group of ladies... I was like "Oh shit" this is not an ordinary saloon, I am becoming their practice tool... None of the girls volunteered to groom me up (Don't I look friendly?) Well he picked this lady who I forgot what her name is, only know she's from England...

Her first mistake was washing my hair with HOT water... I said nothing but I think my expression already showed that I'm HOT... Luckily she's aware of that if not I'll be bald the next day...I wasn't so worried because she's guided by her colleague, David(senior hairdresser)...He will demonstrate first and she just followed up... I have no idea why her hand shakes so much... Despite the shakiness and few mistakes here and there, I must say she has done a pretty good job... I am very satisfied...

Before I left, she asked whether can take a picture of me... I was flattered, shy at the same time... I thought my face is going to appear in some poster or something... But what she want was actually the hair and not my face... What a disappointment...

Winter Break

Here comes my winter break... I am glad that Geoffrey, See Mun and their friends were here from Canberra last week... It was really fun to have them over here for a week and I hope they enjoyed as much as I did...

We went to Philip Island (penguin island) which is 2 hours drive away from the city... The place is beautiful and the wind is so strong till the girls have to be careful with their skirts... (but who will wear a skirt during winter?)

Unfortunately we are not allow to take any pictures with the penguins... They are over protected but it's a great experience to see how they find their way up to their home sweet home...

Not allowed to take picture of penguins so I take the poster instead as proof that I have been here..

There are so many things I wish I can do during this winter break... My first priority now is to find a part time job.. yea... I need to keep myself busy and more $$$ is required for me to feast as much as possible... I don't care about putting on weight right now... hehe...

Lately I have been busy preparing for my exams... Due to the cold, gloomy weather you just don't feel like waking until your body urge you to have a morning pee... I admit that there are several times I have overslept... And I didn't put as much time to study as I planned... I feel guilty about that...

I had my exam at Royal Exhibition Building... I managed to take some picture of the building after my paper...

The Melbourne Museum is just right beside the RE building... We are planning to have a trip there one day... From the structure of the building this museum looks more modern than our Muzium Negara... I wonder what's the differences between our museum and the Aus ones... Let you know as soon as possible !!!

Spelling Mistake??

Well well well... "Price of petrol will not increase until August" said by our great leaders... Hey!!! I thought it's JUNE now... I hope our leaders will not tell us that "SORRY MY FELLOW SUPPORTERS, we spell JUNE wrongly, hehe peace!!"

From today onwards please think before you drive, budget your petrol expense and ask for an accountant's to figure out whether you can afford your dream car... People were waiting at the petrol station trying to take advantage of the low price yesterday night... Why waste time just to fill up your gas tank? If you really want to save money, ring up your relative or friends and ask "Do you want my car? I offer you 20% discount"...

This is just the beginning, inflation is everywhere in the world... My favourite "Zhu Yok Fun" will cost more that RM 5 a bowl when I am back... It will cost me at least RM100 fill up my car gas tank... I can't drive to Subang just for the wonderful Rojak like last time...

My advice is drive a car which is efficient (recommendation:Honda Civic Hybrid)

Buy a map and learn it before you are heading to your destination it saves a lot of time and petrol

Avoid pumping petrol from SHELL and EXXON_MOBIL, use Petronas (those v-power bla bla bla are all bull shit) These big companies have ability to control the fuel market... If you buy more from them mean you have to spend more on petrol... Ask your friends to do so too... It's our time to let the consumers decide the price not the sellers...(You might receive an e-mail which says something similar as what i said above... I am lazy to send to 10 people )

Winter JUNE 2008

It's winter now... It's foggy, but surprisingly not as cold as I thought at least I am still wearing shorts right now... Maybe it's just the beginning, it will get colder soon I guess... So what's so special about winter? First is the fog, it's scary to walk at night because you don't know whether cars can see you clearly...

I find it quite scary to walk alone

I don't think I am well prepared for winter... I only brought summer clothings when I first came and few pieces of jacket are all I have for this winter... I bought a heater I hope it helps to keep me warm...

Haven't seen Qing for almost 4 months... This is the longest time we have separated in years... Well yes I am now one of the member of LDRC (Long Distance Relationship Club)... Are you interested to be one of the member? (warning: It's not fun at all) Being a member you won't be given any discounts or privilege...

I have to confess... Being a commited member I know I should follow the rules... But after so many months, I couldn't resist her(she's from Australia) temptation... I can feel so much love and passion at the moment i see her... I know i have done something very wrong but I promise this will be the only ONE TIME mistake i will make in my life... I won't do it again i only hope that I will be forgiven...

This is what happened between both of us...

Every week I will go to supermarket as usual somehow I always see her there... I talked to her and I find out she's such a nice person... One day i decided to bring her back to my room... and we started taking pictures together...

It has been 3 months i left Malaysia, any changes over there besides half of the seats in parliament taken by opposition?

I wonder how's One Utama (my favourite shopping mall) now... anyone been there lately? I remember the last time i went there was during chinese new year and most of the deco are red and pretty sharp... so what deco is up now? So far over here i haven't seen any shopping complexes which are as nice as those we have in Malaysia...

What are the hot topics over there now? http://www.chedet.com/ (our former PM's blog)??? Or something else... Maybe i am too outdated with news so please inform me if anything regardless big or small...

Are people still crazy with Jco and Big Apple donut?? Haha... Anyone spotted a nice place to eat? Please let me know too??

I really miss Malaysia's FOOD and PEOPLE... haha... I AM HOMESICK!!!

Melt Your Heart

Lately i have bought many chocolates... I treat them as my reward after completing every single assignment (motivate myself)... Usually i will walk to the chocolate department in supermarket, search for nice chocolates which don't kill my wallet...

Somehow i found this chocolate on the shelf which only cost me $2...

Well it is written there "Irresistibly Smooth"... I guess it means as you have the first bite, the chocolate will melt and flow all over in your mouth... Your taste bud will probably say "OHHH LAHH LAHHH"... Not just that it also says this:

Once you break it's shell, the filling will start to melt, and so will you

"Filling start to melt, so will you"... Buy this to the person you love and care i guarantee you will melt her heart on the spot... Haha... After reading all these, i couldn't resist anymore... Can you?

I am going to try it soon and i hope it is as nice as how it's described...

Besides this, I also bought some other chocolates because they are on promotion...Hehe...

Mars- my favourite

It has soft nougat and caramel inside the bar, every single bite is 100% satisfaction... The thick chocolate layer blend so well with the caramel inside... A chocolate which will never let you down...

Coconut lover will like this... This is not so my type because it's too dry probably because of the coconut filling...

Soon they will be all gone ending up in my stomach... All of them are going to MELT in my stomach and ready to be harden...

25th April 1915, brave soldiers sacrificed themselves during World War 1... Till today people still remember their act of bravery and this is what happens on every 25th April...

I was shocked... The roads were as empty as "I AM LEGEND"... Where is everyone??? I took the tram (quite empty also) and headed to the city hoping that there is something going on over there...

Along the journey i see shops(but closed), streets(without pedestrians)...

I was wondering whether it's a waste of time going out to the city... As I reached the city, I was so HAPPY to see people... (my feeling=found water in desert)

The marching lasted for a few hours and I wasn't so keen to follow them all the way... It's quite interesting to know that they actually have such memorial day... A few survivors of WW1 participated in the marching, they were transported by old jeep, trucks,Genting PUT PUT car, Merc CLK... (I guess higher rank, better car?)

They even waved to us like how the Queen waves to her beloved citizens...

HELLO!!! KWEE LOONG here!!!

I'm now in Melbourne killing time by dropping some words in this blog... I have been here for almost 2 months plus... What really happened to me within these two months:

1) SO shock to see my rented house is so empty (unfurnished)

2) Every morning i will spend around 30 minutes to do morning exercise...(Not that I want to, I have to walk to Uni)

3) My waist is shrinking from 34 to 33.9 (just kidding but seriously I slim down abit)

4) I don't anticipate for dinner (can you imagine if you are eating the same dish every night? oyster sauce, ginger with chicken/beef/fish)

I think it's better to share something which happened on me recently. There was a night market organized by the international student society...

Malaysia pasar malam vs Melbourne uni night market... The Uni actually set up a proper tent for these people to operate their stalls... In Malaysia, "nah one stall one umbrella, settle". Definitely Malaysia's umbrella way is better and smarter. First it's cheap, second at least you won't feel the heat (inside the tent=sauna).

I was quite excited and the first thing i bought is so called Taiwanese tempura

HMmm... Guess what's taiwanese tempura!... You can go to supermarket buy a packet of those fishball or yu beng boil it then pour in some miso soup into a cup add little bit of spring onion, here's your taiwanese tempura... My $3 is spent on something which i can make for myself in few minutes... I learn my lesson...

Can you imagine out of 20 over stalls, most of them are selling Malaysian foods... MALAYSIA BOLEH!!! But not all are delicious...(I tried almost all Malaysian food)

$4.50 which is equal to RM13.50. I thought it should be nice, i even asked the uncle add more milk more more more...(more milk means the better it is)

The first spoon, second spoon, third spoon... hey!!! I am eating ice with little bit of syrup and plenty of diluted milk... no trace of nuts or leung fun...

I have spent so much without much satisfaction...

I hope i can really find some really tasty and nice Malaysian food in Melbourne...
